Good advice W.  I've heard as well that my rocket should probably be plugged into a secure outlet.
Some people complain that the sensitive chargers are getting blown because of dirty power.  (power spikes and dips)  I just bought a new 165$ charger for mine after about 2 weeks of use.  It is a fancy 3 stage smart charger that evidently has a delicate brain.  Maybe my nephew (EE from Michigan) can come up with something more durable.   I guess I'll be getting some sort of a surge protector or something.

Great Question! and lots of good answers and suggestions.  These door mech
and be expensive to purchase... and install.  Knowing what you've got and where
are you going to have to go to have it fixed is most important.  Electric
doors should also be placed on a protected circuit and have surge protection.
Those little micro processors are expensive when struck by lightening or voltage
surges.
Make sure that you won't have to wait for weeks while the repair part
is being ordered.

<< Hello.

I have a besam, works well on any existing door.  I installed mine on a
glass atrim.  Pluse it was a hell of a lot cheaper than a bifold door.  Heres
