    Guess what I got in the mail December 23? An advanced copy of the book " Roll Models, People Who Live Successfully Following Spinal Cord Injury and How They Do It" By Richard Holicky. Besides myself, the only other people I know who are in the book are Karen Hwang and Joe Jeremias.  There are profiles of 52 paras and quads from across the USA. A photo of each person and a 1500 to 2000 word write up. The book is 232 pages long. The demographics are 76% Male, 24% Female, 63% White, 26% African American, 5.6% Hispanic, 2% Asian, 2% Native American, MVA  45% GSW 24.5%, Sports 19%, Falls 6%, Other 6%, Quads 51%, Paras 49%, Single 25, Married 14, Single with SO 9, Divorced 7, Employed Full Time 32, Employed Part Time 9, Significant volunteer work 39, Unemployed 4, Retired 3 The book is spiral bound and it has a very professional look.
    Sample copies went out to all the major Spinal Cord Injury Rehabilitation Facilities and Veterans Administration Spinal Cord Centers across the country, as well as all chapters of the National Spinal Cord Injury Association.
