Smart Charger are covered by Pride's warranty system and will be replaced at
no charge during the warranty period. Smart Charging systems are different
from previous charging systems. They produce low volts for longer periods of
time. This is why Pride and other Manufacturers suggest charge every other
night for shorter charging periods.
Another unique feature of the Smart Charging system is that it will not
charge under-voltage batteries. If 2-12volt batteries hold less than 20volts
combined and the smart charger is installed, it will not work. Its programed
that
way. Seperate each battery and trickle charge the batteries to about 11 volts
each and reconnect them and the smarter charger will then kick in and perform
as its designed to bring the combined voltage back to about 25volts+. This
should prevent any further problems

understand that is a weak point in the Pride family of power chairs.
My son says to get a "Monster" brand something. Anybody have any proven
gadgets for me to consider?
