My view on it all is that this is Gods way of keeping the population down.  Otherwise, why would we have so many potentially fatel disasters which are purely down to mother nature??  Unfortunately it's just one of those things, not that it makes it any easier.  I only came to that conclusion after looking back at the large amount of fatal disasters, and noticed that in majority of the places that they've taken place are highly population to the extreme..

Throughout history wars, plagues and natural disasters wipe out large amounts of people.  Do we have a forgiving G_D or an unforgiving one.  Odd that it happened on Christmas as celebrated in late December.

So the tsunami was swift & deadly killing 140,000 instantly.  Not pretty.  But imagine living when our grandparents did and experiencing an epidemic so deadly and so drawn out and so terrible that millions suffered horribly before their deaths.  An ugly 20 MILLION!

Being contagious ... scary for every one on the planet.  Not safe ANYWHERE.  With people building up resistances to antibiodics ... it isn't out of the realm of 'not' happening again.
