Jim,

Thank you for your kind words. There are at least 6 hospitals in Columbus. I was at one of the better ones. It was mostly the ER that sucked. I asked 4 times for my leg bag to be emptied. If there hadn't been two cups of ice water (which I WAS NOT supposed to have but they gave to me), the pee would have ended up on the floor. Instead we put it into the cups. When I asked for something to eat, they complied. I found out later that this condition calls for NO FLUIDS OR FOOD for at least the first 24 hrs. When I went up to the floor they prohibited me from eating for 24 hrs. One of the nurses let my IV run out, and thus had to start a new one. OUCH. I think because I was so sick, I got decent responses when I called for a nurse. I just don't like being there. I asked for stuff to do my BP at a specific time and, of course it came several HOURS later. I don't know about anyone else, but my bowels are very finicky about time. Thus, I had no BP.

I'm much better now, had pizza last night with no problem ;-)

<x-tad-smaller>I'm sorry to hear about your horrible experience in the hospital. After reading some of these posts here lately I feel very fortunate to have a good medical system here in Duluth, Minnesota. We have two major hospital's here in Duluth and one smaller one which is owned by one of the major ones. The smaller hospital does specialty surgery and it also has a rehabilitation floor and center where I spent my4 1/2 monthsmonths at while being rehabilitated. I'm notexactlysurewhere the suprapubic surgery would take place but I do know that if I was to have that I would end up at the smaller hospital on the rehabilitation floor which, specializes in brain injury, spinal cord injuries, strokes and rehabilitating people with broken bones. All the staffare specially trained to deal with the injuriesthat I mentioned. My stay at this hospital was wonderful with no bad memories except for the fact that I had to be there. I wish you the best of luck in making the proper decision.</x-tad-smaller>
