You are actually burning calories while sleeping.  So it stands to reason 
that when you are sitting, standing and having spasms, you are burning 
calories.  
Bodies submerged in water that is cooler than your body temperature is 
another way to burn calories.  As your body heats up to compensate for the 
temperature differential, you burn calories.  Having an infection in your body 
is a 
poor way to burn calories, but you can burn calories even that way.
