Restaurants and Hospitals are rip off too. So are most doctors. However,
when you are in business and one sells products and services as a business for
profit... is it really a ripoff? Businesses have monthly overhead to pay
whether business is good or not good. There are telephones and those who
answer
those phone, and insurance and a multitude of expenses one doesn't consider.
Granted, most of these products and services can be done by oneself... if
they really want to do it themselves. Why do you think people support
restaurants and pay outrageous prices for food that they could easily make at
home.
What do you think the liability insurance would be from an underwriter on a
medical device that *should* empty a leg bag? What if it fails and someone is
injured or needs medical attention?
It will be interesting to see how many of us will actually take the time and
effort to attempt construction and employment of auto legbag that assures its
user a more independent lifestyle, or use any reason an excuse that its just
not good enough for them. Remember, its only $30 bucks against $500-$800 bucks.
