I don't really feel imprisoned in my house or my environment, but more like I'm incarcerated in a body which is unable to move at all. Believe me when I tell you that I am grateful for all I have, but at times I wish, like everyone else, that I was just simply able to reach out and touch something.

I have always thought that I could go anywhere I needed to go, but that sometimes I would need to leave my body behind!

The prison metaphor is one that I have often thought of. When I watch the movie "Hurricane" I came to the conclusion that I, as a tetraplegic, am trapped within my own body and I am always struggling to escape in any way possible. Escape, however, is different for every one. I sincerely hope everyone is able to achieve a modicum of emancipation.

Here let me throw in my congrats.... Congratulations!!!! 25 years of rockin' and rollin' (as a quad), that is a milestone you old fart.... lol!!!! I just had my 39th b-day and believe that I will finally quit counting them, 39 and forever young.
You and QP (Mark) rang my bell when you spoke of your quadism as prison, and time. That's my sentiments exactly, that is also why I had a faceless clock tattooed on my neck, it represents endless time.
We've all been through the school of hard knocks, some of us just deal with it differently. And some of us deal with it quite similar. To that, keep right on rockin' into the future bro.
Peace,
Tim
