I responded to an email written by Loren LW a few weeks ago. Here is what I
wrote back to him re: Medicaid.

I agree that now is the time to act in regards to Medicaid.

You write:
Medicaid is the spirit of American compassion in action.
Through Medicaid, Americans help 46 million of our fellow
citizens. This includes people with disabilities, the
neediest of our elderly, and low-income families.

CITIZENS is the keyword here. Most American don't know this but in 1996-1997 a
bill was passed that made ALIENS eligible for Medicaid. If these Aliens were
refused Medicaid then we wouldn't have the shortage of monies in Medicaid.
Do you realize how many Non-Citizens are on Medicaid. This is where the problem
is with Medicaid.
Any foreigner can come to the US and stay long past the time their work permit
and Medicaid feels sorry for them and enrolls them, even at the cost of
CITIZENS being denied benefits.
I didn't know these facts until recently and I read an article online about
it. I had no idea that you could be on Meidicaid and not be a citizen.
I had thought that Medicaid was set up for the Citizens of our great country.
No wonder it is broke.
Now if everyone on this list would contact the proper people maybe we can get
this reversed. I am not against people coming to this country legally and
working but I am against all the illegals being here and consuming all the
benefits especially since my son John, who is on a feeding tube and is mute due
to the severe stroke he had, got knocked off Medicaid as of the 1st of the
year. I am waiting now to see if they are going to let him back on Medicaid
since he more than qualifies. It was their inefficincy that got him knocked off
it.
We need to unite and each needs to write to the proper people to get the
illegals off Medicaid and the citizens that need it put back on it.
