That could explain it.  I believe the reason given is "Bounced Emails".  But 
why just now after all these years?  I'm sure that I'm not the only person 
using AOL that is experiencing this glitch.  Some feed back by others may help

It has something to do with the spam filtering software different ISPs are 
using. AOL keeps adding eskimo.com to it's block list, so mail sent from 
eskimo.com to aol.com gets rejected and after 4 attempts to deliver mail 
the address is removed. The same thing was happening with bellsouth.net 
addresses and a few others. >>
