Exact scenario here too. The vac closed up HALF of my wound in 24 hours. We were so thrilled! A few more days and it'll be closed completely. Wrong!
It just stopped healing for, like you, about 2 months. Then diligence in putting on this or that on the wound and keeping it dry ... my husband got it closed in January.
But it still gets red, rashy and such so we found wearing a pad daily helps. And desitin or myconesal or whatever it seems to need ... is put on at night.
