Yes, I've been wondering about this too - does anyone know exactly what and whose money this is that her husband was seeking?
 
Also, if you're married to someone who slips into a persistent vegetative state, how do you get a legal separation or divorce if they can't consent to it?  They're not considered dead, so you're still legally married to them, but it seems like it would be impossible to make it a legal separation or divorce when they can't sign the necessary papers or be a party to the legal process.  What are you supposed to do? Anyone in that position would need to move on at some point, no? I don't think anyone could be expected to stay married and faithful for the rest of their lives to someone who was brain dead and not participating in any kind of relationship, right?

Uhhhh ..... what IS the monies people keep referring to?  Was she a freakin millionaire or something? 
 
Even if she (or they) HAD monies ... wouldn't it be pretty much used up by now?  After all these years?
