I've been struggling with a bad UTI since November.
If people recall .. the bug is proteus ... uncool.
It's supposed to respond to the drugs I'm on and when I'm
on them the symptoms dissappear. I only medicate if I have a fever
or bad pain because foleys are colonized anyway.
My Dr & I agreed to be more aggressive in February and
put me on my dosage for THREE WEEKS rather than the usual 7-10
days.
I was fine during the dosage and 3 weeks later. Then
Thursday night .. bam! The shakes, fever, etc.
And urololgist-hopping ![]() and tests are scary and usually
unhelpful. Been
there, done that.
Specialists seem the worst
sometimes. And I'd refuse a cystoscopy now. Had one ... nearly killed
me.
