Hey there,

Part of our dental care is covered.  The NHS pays for all dental care for anyone up until 16, then you have to go to an NHS dentist to continue getting free treatment; bearing in mind that there are lists for those places as long as my arm!  You get free treatment if your pregnant, then for a year afterwards, but other than that you have to pay.  For a general check up it's on the lines of 16, thankfully I've never had to pay for treatment, but it's coming up very soon that I'm going to have to!

Dentists go around to the primary schools and give check ups there which are also free.

Hope that helps,

I've wondered about that. Isn't your medical  care covered there?  We see them talk about dental care on kids shows and commercials on Sat mornings.  Dentists go to elementary schools and talk about proper teeth care.  Dentists are expensive, but I make sure that I get there at least once a year.
