It has been 34 years for me and, I swear, it seems more like five. The passing of time is a baffling, mysterious, strange, and yes, depressing thing to consider. It doesn't behoove one to think upon it too much. Carpe diem, seize the day, and let tomorrow take care of itself. Easy to say, not so easy to do.

I don't usually think of how long this or that has been but every so often
I'll look at a date and I'll think hmmmmm...


What I mean is (and for example) is that Mark wrote below that his injury
was in '99.  I had already been on this list for four years by 1999!
And injured 20 years by then!

I'll sometimes put my life in time frames but anyone can.  Like before 911.
After JFK's assasination.  The list is endless.

I remember being in rehab & my peer counselor (a quad) saying that he had
been a quad ten years by then & I thought then ... WOW ... That's a long
time.  Now it's been 25 yrs for me.
