I don't know if the media works the same for you as it does here in the UK, but the victims names aren't aloud to be published or mentioned without permision from either the victim/survivor theirself or their family.  I personally chose not to have my name mentioned, but my attacker had his full name and the road he lives on plastered accross the papers as their were reporters in the court when he entered his plee!

Too much media attention may not be the best thing for her. Living and reliving those memories can have a toll. I don't know if it's even possible to ask that the victim be respected by a media that hasn't shown much self respect recently.
