I don't know if the media works the same for you as it does here in the UK,
but the victims names aren't aloud to be published or mentioned without
permision from either the victim/survivor theirself or their family. I
personally chose not to have my name mentioned, but my attacker had his full
name and the road he lives on plastered accross the papers as their were
reporters in the court when he entered his plee!
