My husband & I sat down today to begin working on "a
plan"
for my future sholuld something happen to him.
Thing is .. there's a zillion things to look into!
But we HAVE to do something. Sux when ya don't have family or
little
family that's not overly helpful.

Not really, I live in a real rual area there may
be some independent living in Kingsport or knoxvile Tenn about a couple
hrs from here. That would suck being so far from home, im not the
type to handel being away from home. If it ever comes up, may have
to look into assisted suicide. Lol. Sure would solve a lot
of problems. Do any of you have any suggestions? Thanks

Hey Dan,
Around here there's no independent living quarters,
man it scares the crap out of me to think about being put in a nursing
home. There's been a couple of times it looked like I had no other
choice, its not that I don't have the hr's its finding nurses. I
still have to pay for an lpn 3 nights a week, dam hard on the pocket
book. I have enough trouble making ends meet anyway.

I had heard before about disabled assisted
living homes that quads and other disabled people can live togather in
and keep from going into nursing homes. Are there independent living
quarters like these------Or does it depend on what state we each live
in?? I'm am curious to find out more on this in case something
happens to our care-givers ,if we have no choice but a nursing home.
