I have used bei-beis and rohos since '67 I really loved the bei-bei because it was comfortable and pretty cheap a 35$. trouble is, it sprung leaks pretty easily. they were made by vulcanizing 2 pieces of rubber together face to face and then inflating. i patched them lots with standard bicycle tire patches. that worked great but about a year was all i could ever get out of them. to find the leaks, you fill up too hard with air and stick them under water. i use a roho now that i found along the freeway about 15 years ago. i leave it partally inflated as i need only about 2 inches of cushion and it is a 4 inch. the low pressure developed by only what my too wide butt puts on it is about 16 x 18 ( 288 )divided by 225 pounds or just under 1 lb per sq inch. never a pressuire problem - well 1 or 2, and no leeks yet. lucky i guess. a good rubber cement with a patch is what i'd use if needed. autozone has some 3m weatherstripping cement they lovingly call 'gorilla snot'. i use that stuff everywhere. best of luck. dave
