Hi Dave,

I use explorer to look at my files.  I've emptied a few folders in the past but I usually end-up making more work for myself.  I let my Norton clean-up on them now.  Thanks for the tip, though.

yes, i use ms-xp. you can clean lots of temp files in
a few ways. call ut the Explorer, Right Click Start
and select explore. you can get the 'tree' view by
selecting View - Explorer Bar - Folders. go up a few
folders to local settings - temporary internet files.
in there you can delete everything. there are temp
and history directorys that can be cleaned out too.

you can clean your whole disk using the DEL command
too. open a DOS window, Start - run - type 'cmd'.
then type del /? - that will tell you how to use the
command. del c:\*.tmp /s - this will delete all
files ending with .tmp on your c drive. be careful
with this command as once you run it, the files are
truely gone.

stick this del commandn into a bat file in the
c:\Documents and Settings\yourname\Start
Menu\Programs\Startup directory and it will run everytime you reboot.
good luckl,
dave
