I’m a C6 quad in South Africa. I have the most dedicated, kind, caring, concerned caregiver anyone could wish to have. Honesty doesn’t even cross my mind. There is never the feeling that she may steal something! I wish I could export a few of our Sotho girls to help you poor folk. My Becky, and her standby, Linda, are two absolute gems! I have them fill out an application and I interview them , let them know what their duties will be, then I take them to meet John. NOW this is important...I watch closely to how they interact with him...how much attention they pay to him...if they touch him or not. You can't have someone working for you that is more interested in his possessions than him. also same goes true for the dog and cat we have. They should primarily focus on the patient, if they don't then they are not the person for the job. I have had to install a security system to keep a watch on him and them.
