There are a few reasons that your blood pressure might be shooting around. First, do you ever test to see if your bladder has much residual urine? If you have a few hundred CCs can cause your blood pressure to be high. Your bowels can have an equally upsetting effect on your blood pressure. Pain can also run your blood pressure up. If any of these are bad enough they can trigger Autonomic Disreflexia. This is where your Autonomic nervous system freaks out. Blood pressure sky rockets, becomes hard to breath, your heart races, headache is unbearable until you stroke. This is usually followed by a heart attack.
Sure wish I could remember the name of the blood pressure medication I use to keep on hand? It was used in the 50's to bring down blood pressure but rarely prescribed because it slams the BP down fast and hard. It gives you about an hour to alleviate whatever is causing the high BP. If anyone knows Dr. Randall Braddom, a physiatrist, he will surely have the answer. Last I heard, he was in New Jersey. He may be retired but damn, he was a smart Dr.

Have you talked to a cardiologist about it?  It can't be good to have it
