Have you tried your rehab doc? After my urologist retired, I went to the
urology clinic which was overloaded at best as they had not gotten a
replacement for her. I got this man who had a completely different idea on
how to treat Indiana pouches (bladder augmentation, whatever you want to
call it). I did not like it, so began asking my rehab doc for uti
antibiotics. I call his secretary who asks my symptoms, gives them to the
doc and he calls in a script. Acually I use him for everything. If its
beyond him, I will get a consult to see the appropriate doc--plus get in
faster because of the consult.

Does anyone know how to find a Urologist familiar with Supra pubic
catheters
or with people that are Quads ?? I live in St. Louis County, Missouri.
My
Urologist put in my supra pubic catheter about 4 years ago, he never
wants me
to get a urine culture because he say's i'll always be positive for some
kind
of bacteria. About a year ago he let me get so sick from a Psuedamonas
bladder infection that it destoyed much of my white blood cells and I had
to go to
emergency to be put in hospital for a week. His office told me today to
go
see my family doctor if I feel bad. Family doc said he will let get a
urine
culture but he is not familiar with anything about Quads. Heck-- if
doctors
don't know, how do we get help ? THANKS TO ANY THAT MAY HAVE ANY IDEA"S
