The cold war was one of our worst success/disasters. We prevented Communist domination, but the cost moraly was very high. It was a success in as much as it came to a peaceful end w/o the destruction of the world. However there is the problem of cleaning up our messes. We backed the Muhajdeen (sp) which part of it became the Taliban AFTER Russia pulled out. (Cold war tragedy) The Shaw was toppled by Islamic Fundamentalists. This caused that embarassing SHORT TERM relationship with Sadamned. (All of the ARAB Nations still suffer thanks to what the French and English did to Arabia AFTER WWII) Most of our problems in Latin America... Cold War. If we helped prop up an evil dictator (not always aware) don't we have an obligation to remove them}? I've been a long time admirer of our Founding fathers. Jefferson was right. But IMHO we should seek out people of good conscience willing to return to our Constitutional Republic before doing what you seem to say isn't justifiable (war for any reason}. Having signed up to serve during an unpopular war, IMHO freedom for anyone is a cause worth fighting for (especialy the unborn). Stunt
