Crud, I just threw one away the other day. Will those cheaper "compatible for" cartridges be eligable? I found out the black cartridge will not work in my Epsom, but the color ones will. I can at least save some m oney on the color, but hate paying so much for the black. Why are they so expensive? Cause they 'can'? We 'need' them? ugh. Office depot gives paper for bringing in empties, but would be glad to send them to the website addy. Where on the page do you sign up?
I did not look very hard. grin

Subject: [QUAD-L] TMA Inkjet & Toner Cartridge Recycling Program

See our web site for more information:

Simply collect those empty inkjet and toner cartridges, box them up and
send them in using our free, pre-addressed Collection Boxes and Baggies.
The TMA will earn up to $18 (for toner cartridges) to be used toward
research for and education of neuroimmunologic diseases (which include:
Transverse myellitis, Neuromyelitis optica, Acute disseminated
encephalomyelitis, Optic neuritis and Multiple Sclerosis)

Nearly a million "empties" are thrown away in the United States every day,
so they shouldn't be hard to find.

You can register online to order free shipping supplies and shipping
labels, manage your account, see live receiving reports of checked in
cartridges and credits issued and view box order history plus download and
print a free customized shipping label instantly online.

Why recycle Inkjet & Toner Cartridges?

Recycling keeps large amounts of plastics out of landfills. Every year over
300 million cartridges are thrown away. This means for each cartridge,
about 2.5 pounds of plastic is thrown into a landfill. It will never go away!

Recycling saves natural resources. To produce a single new laser cartridge,
over 3 quarts of oil are used. In contrast, a recycled cartridge only
requires 1 quart of oil to be able to be reused. Recycling saves two quarts of oil per cartridge. This year alone, toner cartridge remanufacturing will
save over eleven million (11,000,000) gallons of oil.
