I have been on this list since its inception. (13 years?). It never ceases
to amaze me that the most discriminated against people in the world (us)
have no tolerance or empathy for any other group of people.
Every ethnic group that has emigrated to this country has had to endure
discrimination. You think we would learn, that it's not the ethnicity but
the fact that a certain number are illegally here and profiting from it.
The new immigrant in the United States is no longer predominantly white. It
seems however, (and I see some people grudgingly agree) that "they" will do
work "normal" Americans will not. Are they siphoning resources from the
system? Absolutely, but that's a flaw in our immigration system. We cannot
tell how many terrorists are in the country let alone how many illegal
aliens.
Until we bite the bullet and give up some individual liberties -- I'm
talking about a national citizenship registration, the system will never be
fixed.
It will get fixed very quickly when the first suicide bomber walks on to a
New York City subway car, or into a sold-out baseball game. We are at war
fighting those who are extreme in their prejudices. Fundamentalist Muslims
are even killing members of other Muslims sects.
Have some tolerance. Look at the bigger picture and keep your priorities in
order. We are our own minority group. Take care that no one believes the
disabled are siphoning off too many resources, and decide to do something

The United States was once called a melting pot. In the perfect world, a
truly free society embraces its diversity. Until we ascertain who within
our borders wants to be American with all the prerequisites, and respect
each other as citizens, we are only a pot melting.

I really can't believe my eyes, as I read the various posts on this list
about Hispanic, Latino and Chicana people in our country. If anyone
remembers, this country belonged to a WIDE variety of brown skinned
peoples BEFORE the influx of the pilgrims. We continue our modus
operandi ----stealing countries----hundreds of years later.
I am ashamed to be a member of a list that unashamedly espouses such
hatred for a group of people. I include people making "jokes" and
"teasing", it's just FUC**NG rude and immature.
