Donald...
I truly envy you. You are doing one of the three
things I miss the most: having sex with me on top, driving a car, and
driving a golf ball 250+ yards down the middle of the fairway, pretty much
in that order. Enjoy it for yourself and all of us who wish we could join
you.

Well, group my dreams came true. I'm 14 years post at C6 and since my injury I haven't drove. Before I got hurt I use to ride dirt bikes daily and had three cars at once one being a total show truck and one being a race car. Needless to say I really miss driving.

Subject: [QUAD-L] I DROVE YESTERDAY
I recently had a 1998 Ford full size van and a 1953 Ford panel truck when one day I was just looking around online. I found a 1999 Dodge Caravan with only 35,000 miles on it that another quad had set up to drive but unfortunately pasted away. He spent 60,000.00 bucks on setting it up when it was new. But his dad sold it to me for 22,000.00 which I could not pass up. I sold my 1998 Ford already for 18,500.00 and I'm still trying to sell my 1953 Ford panel truck, by the way if anyone is interested let me know (wink).
Any way when I bought the van I had to jump threw all of DMV's hoops but 6 weeks later I finally got my permit to drive with an instructor. Of course the instructor had to cancel his appointment so I took matters into my own hands so to say, and took my ride out yesterday with just my teenage son who has no license by the way. It was so cool, drove all over the hood for about a half hour. I did great, no accidents and only hit two cats.
Just kidding. I'm going out again today with the instructor and trying bigger streets and hopefully all goes well.
If any of you get a chance to drive again take it. It's a major boost in your independence and is just flat out fun. I hope to see you on the road.
Take care, Donald
