Yes we have a nature trail that runs from on side of the state to another--I
think its been completed--There is a spur that I can get to fairly easily
and even tho its in the middle of town there are parts where only nature is
heard. The other day I found a 'lookout' rock just before a bridge that had
fair animals around. If you sit still and watch, you can hear and see lots
of things.
Fortunately Rocco is very still too. We have had a couple of inches of rain
since I was there and I'd like to see of the snapping turtles are still
there--unlikely, but might see other critters. I can get squirrels to come
pretty close--at least the young ones--I don't impress the older ones, but
can get them to flick their tails!
Now if I could get the joggers and bike riders to stop! They don't come by
often, but just enough.

That is my joy in the summer. I love going to the park. I take stale bread
and tease the wild tree rats (squirrels) and try to hit the pigeons with
clumps of really stale bread. Sometimes I sit alone. Sometimes I talk to
folks.
Sometimes I get hi. I know it sounds stupid, but I love my little naps in
the
park. I haven't found anything as relaxing yet.

Thx,
I don't know much about bursitis, but do know I too have syringomyelia.
At
least I have a syrinx in my neck. A hollow spot. The surgeon said he
preffered
not doing anything to it unless I started loosing arm movement. He said
my
neck was bent funny with a sharp bend that bothered him. He said the risk
was
not worth it in his opinion.
The warm weather has helped in so many ways. I don't feel that tight
shaky
cold that I did even when it was 80 inside. etc. I feel so much more
relaxed.
Plus I just get out more. I went on a mile ride just for fun today. I got
a
cell phone I could use myself, so I feel safe going out alone, no "what
if's"
about my chair breaking. There is a really cool new housing developement
being build 4 bolcks away I went to. They have a lake with paths going
around
it. Houses real close to the lake, but tiny backyards, no room for a
pool.
Sorry, if I'm paying $600,000 for a house in AZ, I want at least room for
a pool.
The city is building a new 10 acre park at the end of my street. It's a
week
late, but almost done. I go every day just to go look, just for a reason
to
go out alone.
The sun and Oxycontinhave really helped my pain, but my mornings a
getting
bad. I'll try changing the hight of my bed's head at night.
