Those requests are perfectly normal! I was looking at my arm rest yesterday and noticed it was begining to crack--its leather, my arms slide off the cloth ones. But since I have a brand new chair just sitting in= the other room, medicaid/care will not pay for anything on this chair anymore. I really did not ask for that other chair--altho with the medicaid cuts it may be good to have it. It needs to be tweeked and I keep putting it off. There is nothing wrong with the chair I have and the other chair sets 2 inches higher than this one. I would not be able to see out of my van at all! I would have to put blocks under my computer/tv table and could not get under restaraunt tables. Any new chair has to be tweeked--my new one had to have bigger foot rests, I wanted a velcro strap behind my calves instead of those big clunky looking pads.. They had put the drive (oh the steering wheel!) on the wrong side, the cushion would not fit on the seat, so had to raise the back of the chair another 2 inches and I need a higher back than usual anyway. Now it needs the electronics tweeked and a few other minor adjustments. The new chair has been sitting since last September I think. take care,

Dana and Rocco

I gave my w/c dealer a list of six things that need to be modified to this
chair, let me tell you the list. 1. new back 2. lower canes 3. raise the
chair
one inch 4. new foot plates 5. new leg rest's 6. new arm rest's. That's a lot
of
modifications, isn't it?

That is not that many requests. Everything that you mentioned are considered
disposable items that wear out. Motors that sit for a while may have flat
spots, but you should have the chair checked out certified dealers. Have them
list each problem,
determine the exact cause of each problem and what was done to resolve that
problem.
