I have a 94 Ford van also with a Ricon
lift. As far as going up-and-down, the lower limits which sometimes sticks
and I spray it with WD-40 after giving it a swift tap. As far as lifting
up into the van, it's sometimes sticks and someone has to lift the lift up
manually to trip the limits switch. My neighborhood dealer tells me to
bring it in for a tuneup and minor adjustments, but I haven't found that
time. I guess that I get stranded one night I'll wish that I had taken his
suggestions.

Subject: [QUAD-L] Van Problem
The lift on my van is not working properly. Sometimes when I let it
down it won't lift up until someone manually jacks it up and at a certain
point the hydraulics will kick in and it'll go up. We tried to fix it, but
when the hubby took the box off, it would be a *good* lift
every time. There has to be an adjustment some where. I'm hoping someone can
help me with this so I don't have to drive 80 miles & spend $300 to get it
fixed. I've had to ask strangers to manually jack it up & exit
through the driver's door. It's a Ricon lift, on a '94 Ford van.
HELP!!!
