When was the last time an Urologist examined you? It may be that your the internal sphincter muscle is swollen and needs to be checked.
I use a three breath system when I change my Foley. I hold my breath on the third breath as the Foley is inserted, and it seems to keep the the internal sphincter muscle relaxed. Good luck and stay strong.
