I don't mind questions about my injury. If people don't know anyone with a spinal injury, they probably don't know much about it. There are so many reasons people use chairs, so many ways people get paralyzed. You see people listed as quads who can walk with a walker, but don't have perfect control. Being paralyzed doesn't always mean "complete".
Plus, anyone who doesn't know much about it can get misinformation from watching TV movies where everyone who is paralyzed ends up walking because "They have such courage".
I say to the non disabled... "Ask Away" it's the only way to learn. The more they learn about us, the more they will see we are just like them... only different :-)
