I absolutely love my online banking through bank of america. free
checking with direct deposit and free bill pay online. I have the
addresses stored to who I owe money to. I type in the amount I want to pay
and click send. It's so easy and they will mail out a check to whomever
you need to send money to. It's the best.

My mom is on my checking account for times when I'm in the
hospital or in bed. It is for convenience but has worked well.
I write a lot of checks. My Identity was stolen last Januarary by an
attendant and now she is going thru the court system. It was all
done electronically--no signatures were needed anywhere! It was
caught early by American Express so nothing of mine was damaged.
Bank of America will get the biggest loss. Plus she filed a tax
return and had the return put electronically into a checking account that
my attendant had opened with Bank of America, $4700. The IRS did
not even notice that I had not filed a return in 20 years! My father
had a few words for them!
The weekend the police were set up to
arrest her-the night before she had given me her 2 weeks notice! I
thought she was going to skip town! My regular attendant was set to
come in and work after they had her in custody. She, the guilty party, was
not there when the police were here, so they were going to her apartment
to get her. They no sooner leave than she calls asking if I need her
to come work! I said no, but both me and my attendant were nervous
wrecks! At least we knew she was home! In about 30 minutes the
officer called and said they had her.
Basically this is all to say
noone cares about names or signatures anymore. Another attendant put white
out over a name and wrote hers in and took a lady's rent money!. My
attendants forge my and another guys name all the time on time sheets and
many other docuents. These are gals that have worked for me
for a long time--years. The other one I don't trust. I'm
thinking about going to a debit card and computer banking. Does
anyone do that and how safe do you think it is? I about fell over
when I ordered checks again and found out how much they were.
Homemakers are more prone to "add" things onto the list when its easier to
lose the reciept. take care,

Banking
Even before coming home from the hospital it was suggested
we get a stamp made of my son’s signature. This we did and have
used it when closing sale of house and such. Also I can use the
stamp when having to take care of something for him.
Otherwise he signs the best he can and there has never been a
problem. Like someone said, maintaining security of the stamp
is important. Recently my son was notified that someone had used his
debit card in New York for $400 plus dollars at a Toys R Us. It
wasn’t him and his card was in his possession. We wonder
if someone overheard him give his pin number to his brother’s when making a
purchase. An employee who had access to account number. My son often
lets someone assist him with debit card purchases and this is where his
account is more at risk.

Hey QG,
How you all manage your Bank accounts. They need
signatures on many things.
I can write using an "universal cuff" but
the writing is never the same style.
Would using a mouthstick
help?
Now I have to keep money on others (brother) name. I wish, I
could keep my money in my own account. Anybody has experience ?
Any
input will be appreciated.
Please take care
:-)
