Dear Bobby,
I feel for you man, it seems like you have to tell
people every little detail of your needs, if you have a lot of
different people taking care of you it seems like we're always telling
them over and over again. When my wife was here every three or four
days she told me how much work I am? She enabled me and I wasn't able
to get through her thick skull that I am becoming more independent and
I think no matter who you are you need to diversify your help.
When
I came home from rehab, it felt like my whole world was crumbling... I
just found Quad -- list about two weeks ago. There is a lot of support
and good advice to be had. Thank you everyone this list has been a
highlight of my summer, somehow by reading about everyone else the
positive attitude is contagious and let them spread to you .
Good luck with
your wheelchair and never give up.
Don't be afraid to ask for help,
even AB's need help in some ways every day.
Stay strong...
