Hi Dana,

Here in TX the Medicare Waiver has a two year waiting list.  This coming Sept. I will have been on it for one year.  I am currently looking at new wheelchairs so that I will be able to get the chair I need.  I'm looking at the Quickie® SmartSeat.  It should fill my needs.

I think their services are pretty limited, waiting lists etc.  Have been trying to get them to push for Money Follows the Person but so far they seem more interesed in a bill of their own.  Not too sure all the ins and outs.  Am trying to find out more myself.  Stephanie

I wonder why was he not offered home and community-based services or is he on a waiting list? Was he not given enough service to live in community.  I know nothing about Florida services.  Wondering.  I lived in nursing home in 77 for three years in ks.  He would be interesting to know what they offer home and community-based services and which ones are supporting MICASSA.?

Thank you for the information.
Dana
