Medical aid in this country is largely based on your ability to pay for it once insurance is exhausted. If you don't qualify, it is because you aren't poor enough. I am one of those  immoral people that has nothing left and now that I'm destitute, I get plenty of help. I won't bragg because it is beginning to look like they want to cut back the maximum hours per  week that waiver will cover. I get this sinking feeling that I'll be shopping for a nursing home. They don't seem to care that it would cost less to stay in the community. The important thing is that the nursing homes get that state money and donate a good chunk to the  politician that had this idea.
