I prefer the low air loss overlay. It dry's moist areas. It is one of the few things that has been scientifically proven to help heal bedsores. Unfortunately, the morons in charge of medicaid need a doctor's script and verification that you have 2 stage 4 wounds. When I have 2 stage 4 wounds, I'm going to want the mattress, twice daily dressing changes from nurses, some serious pain meds and the name of the idiot that thought up the rule.
I bought mine on ebay. The air pump was $42 including shipping. The mattress was $165. I don't think either of the people knew the value or the purpose of what they were selling.

have been a C-5 quad for almost 40 years and, remarkably, I have been very few skin problems.  A while ago, on the advice of a therapist, I began using a Prodigy mattress overlay.  Since it is not a reliable product, I would like to replace it with another kind of overlay.  Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks.
