Hi Tammie Lou,
It makes perfect sense. This is where I run into problems. I had my right leg removed in '89 and sit on a 'custom formed' seat, and when I try to shift enough to remove the sling I lose my center of balance enough to effect my sitting posture. I have always used a standing pivot when getting in my chair but need to go with a lift now. I suppose with practice I will be able to get the shifting down. Thanks for the advice..
With Love,

I always take the sling off after I get up into my chair and it's pretty easy to do. I am 5'10" and my attendant is about 5'2" and she can do it pretty easily. She just leans me all the way forward and slips it down behind my back and tucks it under my butt as much as she can then you just have to slide the bottom part of the sling under each leg and pull it up in the center. I hope that makes sense.Take care and play nice Tammie Lou
