I went to an orthopedic surgeon because he was recommended since the wound is either really close or at the bone.  I lucked out and there isn't any infection.  Thank God.  I'm going to a plastic surgeon tomorrow.  I pray that he gets it cleaned out and hopefully wound vac to heal quicker but ultimately it is up to him to decide what will be best for me.  I hear that he has dealt with this type of wound before so I feel secure going to him.
