EXCELLENT SITE, AND EXCELLENT ATTITUDE KRIS ANN. THERE ARE SOME REAL MOVERS AND SHAKERS ON THIS LIST THAT GIVE ME HOPE FOR ALL THE NEW SCI KIDS COMING ALONG SOON. HOPEFULLY THEY WILL FIND A SITE LIKE THIS AND REALIZE THEY TOO CAN LEAD A VERY FULL, MEANINGFUL, AND PRODUCTIVE LIFE EVEN THOUGH IT WILL BE DIFFERENT FROM WHAT THEY THOUGHT IT WOULD BE. I SALUTE YOU BACK WITH THIS SHORT SERMON. :-)

Nicely said, Dave. The fatalist perspective is one that has held countless people with SCI back from challenging what others deem our limitations. Without the hope that our lives are ours to control and direct, even after SCI, we force ourselves to endure a misery of our own making.I'd like to invite everyone to visit my web site at www.krisannpiazza.com . My life after a cervical [C5] break was Hellish, especially after my nurse dropped me off my Stryker bed and dislodged my initial fusion. In essence, I broke my neck twice when I was only 12 years old. BUT I believed that there was still a way to build a good life for myself, and no one was going to convince me that I was predestined to lie in a sick bed for the rest of my life, which in 1980, people believed.I salute you Dave!:)Kris Ann
