Jeremy, My son, Gabe has body temp changes and problems all the time. I've never seen shivers. What I understand, if you are a high quad -body temp is a serious issue. Gabe carries a thermometer, instant ice packs with him in the summer and instant heat packs in the winter. Doc said he could have a stroke from heat in summer and suffer from hypothermia in the winter. I don't know if this applies to you.
