I have several Canadian and Indian (eastern) friends who come from a "no-shoes in the house" background.  They have hesitated over the years about letting me come in their homes.  I understand because they want to maintain a certain level of cleanliness.  I am typically the exception.  I make certain not to run through anything before going to any of their homes.

It's a cultural difference or personal preference.  I don't allow ugly people in my home - j/k ;)

Never experienced this insulting attitude from people, rather very often get VIP treatment in my power chair. Sorry about your experience.

your
chair because the clicking was driving them crazy? or If someone didn't want
you in their home because of your tires?
