I also take it twice a day. I suffered from pain, cold sweats, and shivers for years until I learned of ditropan on this very board about three years ago. Of all the doctors I had been to over the years, NONE had suggested it. Thanks to the quad-list and curses to incompetent doctors. The drug has made a big difference in my life. Only drawback -- it dries out my mouth so bad the corners actually split open. Ouch!

I've taken it twice a day (5 mgs) for 26 yrs. I've had lower abdominal
pain come & go for years and
every so often lately. About 2 months ago I 'wondered' if it were a bladder
spasm of sort OVER just
pain. So when I had lower ab pain 2 months ago in the afternoon I took an
extra Oxy .. it helped!

Colincidence or not. But I coulda relieved the severe pain yrs ago HAD I
REALLY THOUGHT it might
be bladder spasms. Or, at least, partly spasms. Geeez.

But I also think, and know, that it began with syringomyelia and is also
present at times (and relieved by antibiodics)
when I have a UTI.

about 3 each day to help cope with the bladder pain Do any of you have to
take that med often as that ? A bit over a month ago i was in hospital far
a bad pseudamonas bladder UTI.......Gosh i hope that's not trying to return.
....all this quad problem crap can drive a person insane , I try to grin
