Funny.... while out drinking one evening, my best buddy - even from b/4 my accident, dumped me off the front entry of the bar into the snow. He and 2 other buddies laughed like crazy and got me up and into MY car. As I drove the 4 of us home down a twisty, turny back road in the woods, I went faster and faster swerving and sliding.... I said, "not so funny now is it assholes? you think I give a shit if I get home ok? with friends like you? think again..." we got home just fine and we still go out torether -40 years later. No, noone has ever told me they wouldn't ride with me. I'll ride with you DD - you got any woods we can get stuck in there in Ohio?

Have any of you that drive had someone say to you that they would never ride with you? I have a friend of 25 yrs whom our kids grew up together and is one of those who actually stayed a friend after an sci injury. She said this to me 10 yrs ago when I began driving. A situation came up & I said, well you can ride with me. She replied I told you I'd never ride with you. This really ticked me off. To me it's offending my injury and how I overcome it. I wouldn't tell a blind person I won't eat your cooking, how can you cook if you can't see?!!! Sorry, but I have to vent...What would some of you say to this remark?Diane
