I use imipramine and it helps with the cold sensations in my arms. It doesn't have a dramatic effect but any little bit helps. All I've read on tricyclics is that they limit the reuptake of norepinephrine and/or seretonin. Nothing about circulation.

I'm currently trying Pamelor (nortryptiline), a tricyclic antidepressant
(like elavil.) It makes my hands and feet ice cold (actual temperature,
not what I feel, which is still burning and heaviness.) Has anyone else
had this side effect from a tricyclic? Is there any way to tell if the
cold extremities result from a change in blood circulation, or from
something more benign the medication does?
