When I went for the mitrofanoff, I stayed at the hospital because of the concerns but my problem was I never started going.  They ended up putting me back in bed after hours of sitting up and then they had to give me an enema.  I had to just lay on my side and endure.  I hope it works better for you.

Tell your dr. your concerns, they may put you in house to do your clean-out.
