Gang,
If you remember, a couple weeks ago I told you about the situation my
wife and I were in with her evil family and a baby on the way. Amy's
father stopped over to drop off some presents her sister left for Amy at
her parents house the week before. My mother (I love her but sometimes
she just doesn't use her head) mentions to Amy's father that Amy's
pregnant. That was a week ago and none of her family has called her.
So she's bummed about that. I don't know what Amy was thinking but she
calls her grandma (mother's mother) and now I know where Amy's evil
mother gets it from. She told Amy, "what do you want me to say? That
your child's going to be beautiful? That your child's going to be
loved?" Then accuses Amy of having a baby just to try to save her
relationship with her family. She said the only thing she could do to
save her relationship with her family was to crawl back to them, without
me OR THE KID, and beg for their forgiveness. You see, in their world,
being with a quad is not only doing something horribly wrong, it also
hurts them personally. I think they would prefer I was an able bodied
serial child molester. There is good news though. The grandma said
that her family wants nothing to do with us or the baby. So we no
longer have to worry about involving them in the child's life. Also, I
think she considers this latest slap in the face, the last straw. She
told her cousin what the grandma said and her cousin told her she had to
cut her family out of her life completely. I've been telling her that
for years but I guess you have to hear it from the right people. I
think she may actually do it this time. She has also agreed to
counseling. She just doesn't want to do it now for fear of stressing
the baby. I'll hold her to it though.
