You can also right-clck on start, then select properties. Very easy.

OK,
Under the START button open settings then click on taskbar start menu,
click on the advanced tab, click advanced and then on the start menu
folder when it comes up.
Select the program you want to remove from startup and then the delete button.
Repeat untill you remove all the ones you want.
Some programs will leave an icon on your programs bar, these can be
deleted manualy from the bar.
