LOL, that aluminum box is good, but sometime when you have the lift in the down position, check out or have someone check out the box. Flushing it out at the self-water always help in keeping the "breadbox" clean.  Having the lift serviced each season also helps. I orginally tested the 500 for Mobil-Tech of Kansas several years ago and actually had dinner with the European guy that invented the UVL.  Back then, everything was in metrics.  Braun changed that very quickly after purchasing the design and rights from MobilTech.  Since then I've used the 550, 600 and another one before using the inside lifts.
