 Ron, That is awesome that you can transfer and do cath's-- how has your pain been-- mine is bad some day's or weeks and better on others. Do you still take amitriptyline and lorazapam ?  I take amitriptyline at night and Lorazapam in the day if I need it. In the future I may try that newer drug lyrica . Well I use a Guardian transfer bench with the commode opening . Its an older model and it has a nice tall back. I just take the pail put a plastic bag in it and im ready to go. This way I can watch tv while I get the routine done. Ive thought of starting to use my guardian rolling shower chair for the routines but havent as of yet. On my temperpedic bed I bought the matress cover from them and also use a plastic cover from walmart on top of that. I seldom have an accident since I use majic bullet suppossitories, but anythings possible so I protect that expensive matress. I straight cathe myself when needed so I dont have any tube issues. My spincter muscle holds tight until I insert a tube which is a plus.
