Same as Mark [below] for me. It can also feel like pins and needles. About five years after my injury the crook of my left arm (my bad arm which is contracted at a 45° level - my fault) would absolute kill me.
By now that I have back pain and other pains ... they seem to override that sensitivity in the crook of my arm.
But my whole body just seems to be hypersensitive. When I was reading Corie's e-mail regarding her bowel routine -- she mentioned taking a shower afterward. My body is so hypersensitive that any spray on my body makes me go into spasms and just hurts all over even now I have no direct external feelings below the chest.
The feelings on my arms are spotty. I can feel more of the insides of my arms than I can on the outside. Of all my fingers, I only have a very light sensation on the outside of my right thumb. After I got a bad pressure sore on my left forefinger in 1994 I had to have half of it amputated. I just went in there and had it done without any anesthetic whatsoever.
And it does not bother me cosmetically because my fingers are curled anyway so it blends right in.

Subject: Re: [QUAD-L] Your feelings please
I'm a C5/6 and have the freezing pain like ice water for blood or arms are on fire like laying them on a black truck in the sun. I get the needles and tingling also.
Sounds like we all this in common.
